Crew-management Group

Crew members are absolutely essential for the operation of a vessel. In recent years, we have mainly hired crew from overseas. Most of the ships that we manage are manned by people from the Philippines and Indonesia. We are able to select and hire them through our manning agents in their respective countries. In addition to the unique characteristics of each vessel, the terms of the voyage, and other factors that need to be taken into account, making comprehensive judgements of crew members’ aptitude and qualifications and deploying them in appropriate vessels is the most important part of ship management. It can be said that the quality of ship management services depends upon a company securing excellent sailors.

The hiring and deployment of sailors would not be possible without the close links we maintain with manning agents in each country and our relationship of mutual trust. We maintain close communication via telephone and e-mail, and through the visits of our crew management staff to each manning agency, where they are able to pass on our wishes and gain an understanding of the local circumstances. At the same time, we also compile reports and evaluations, made through our observations, of each crew member’s skills and abilities, and personally visit the ships while they are in port to get feedback for even better crew management by talking directly to crew members on board, and exchanging opinions.
